I was a longtime admirer of progressive lower Manhattan Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou and as soon as I heard that she was running for state Senate, pitched her team on producing her campaign video. Several concepts and scripts later, we spent an unseasonably hot Memorial Day shooting all throughout the East Village, Lower East Side, and Chinatown. While proud of the script, I can say that this video was really made by Yuh-Line's personality and our ability to improvise.
